ASME AIA Inspection & Certification Body (AIA-144)

Swiss Approval is the 26th authorized ASME AIA Inspection & Certification Body, with Accreditation Number 144. The areas / sections of recognition for which Swiss Approval Technische Bewertung has been authorized, include almost the entire Code, and in particular are: I, IV, X, XII and VIII (chapter 1, 2 & 3), which are specialized in the manufacture of boilers for energy production , electric or simple heating vessels, including the manufacture of  fiber-reinforced plastic pressure vessels, the manufacture of vessels carrying hazardous materials, as well as the design, manufacture, inspection and testing of all pressure vessels exceeding 1.0 bar pressure.

Swiss Approval has own ASME Authorized Inspectors and Supervisors with a valid National Board Inspector Commission and Endorsement – AI, IS, B, N, R. The National Board Authorized Inspector Commission is issued to individuals who have been qualified to perform inspections of boilers and pressure vessels, as required by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME B&PV Code).

Endorsements are specialized qualifications that are issued to Authorized Inspectors/Inservice Inspectors who are qualified to perform duties in accordance with the ASME B&PV Code or the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC).
